Recent Activity:
In the recent financial years, 5.8, 5.94 and 6.69 lakh breeding cows / bucks have been brought under artificial breeding for the development of cattle breeds. The number of crossbred calves produced is 2.38, 2.38 and 2.75 lakh respectively.
In order to conserve and expand the existing livestock, 3.35, 3.62 and 4.31 crore cattle have been vaccinated and 0.6, 0.7 and 0.69 crore cattle have been treated respectively.
270, 3109 and 3243 yard meetings have been conducted including training of 0.30, 0.30 and 0.26 lakh farms respectively on capacity building, development of farm management and expansion of farms.
In order to produce safe and quality animal meat, 6174, 6516 and 6247 farms / feedmills / hatcheries have been inspected, 159, 1546 and 3172 meat processors (butchers) have been trained and 56, 61 and 90 mobile courts have been conducted.
Provide incentives to affected farmers during the coronation period.
